"Take from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them to increase."

[Al Tawba:103]

In places where everything is lost, generosity still lives.

From Syria and Sudan, to Yemen, Afghanistan, Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and beyond, refugees and displaced families who face immense hardships every day, still choose to share and support one another. They are not defined by what they have lost, but by what they choose to give. And all they need is a chance to rebuild their lives in safety, security and dignity. As we gather with our families, the spirit of Ramadan reminds us of what matters most - kindness, community, and generosity. Because giving is a choice. And choices change lives.

This Ramadan, choose to act. Give your Zakat today.

Your Zakat can help displaced families afford warm meals, clean water, medical care and more. UNHCR is on the ground every day, but funding cuts limit our ability to respond—we cannot do it alone.

Calculate your Zakat now  and dedicate it with confidence. With absolutely no deductions, 100% will be delivered to eligible refugees and displaced families as cash or in-kind assistance.

When every second matters, your generosity can be the difference.

Give your Zakat today—because generous hearts always find a way.

UNHCR is following a 100% Zakat distribution policy.
100% of Zakat contributions are distributed to the most vulnerable refugee and internally displaced families, including in hard-to-reach areas.

Exceptionally for Zakat funds, UNHCR has waived its standard 6.5% indirect support costs, in order to ensure that 100% of your Zakat goes directly to the most vulnerable families. Any expenses associated with the distribution of Zakat are covered by other sources of funding to UNHCR.

You may wish to help us cover some of these costs by topping up your Zakat contribution with a 6.5% Sadaqah.
