MBRGI

Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) has partnered with UNHCR to support forcibly displaced communities through major Ramadan campaigns and long-term humanitarian initiatives across Asia, Africa, helping refugees and displaced families meet basic needs and rebuild their lives with dignity.

Eid Charity

The Sheikh Eid Bin Muhammad Al Thani Charitable Foundation (Eid Charity) has been a strategic partner of UNHCR since 2018, supporting refugees and internally displaced persons across multiple crisis contexts through cash assistance, shelter, and essential relief. With more than USD 9 million in contributions to date, the partnership continues to strengthen dignity, reintegration, and long-term stability for forcibly displaced families, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and Qatar National Vision 2030.

Humaniti

Humaniti is a global humanitarian organization committed to advancing dignity and equity for the world’s most vulnerable. Through its partnership with USA for UNHCR, Humaniti supports Shariah-compliant, Zakat-eligible cash assistance for refugees, committing USD 2 million to deliver dignified, life-saving support in Egypt and Jordan, helping displaced families meet essential needs while restoring choice, agency, and hope.

Muslim World League

Muslim World League (MWL) is a long-standing partner of UNHCR, supporting refugee protection and inclusion through humanitarian assistance, child protection, and livelihoods programmes. Beyond operational support, MWL has played a pivotal role in advancing Islamic philanthropy globally by endorsing UNHCR’s Refugee Zakat Fund through a formal fatwa and renewing its commitment with a USD 5 million pledge (2022–2026) to improve the lives of refugees and host communities worldwide.

UNHCR's Refugee Zakat Fund

Since its pilot in 2017, UNHCR’s Refugee Zakat Fund has been a crucial partnership mechanism that is effective, compliant, and trusted by institutions and individuals. Since its inception, over 9.9 million beneficiaries have been assisted. This is thanks to more than $302 million that has been received through the Refugee Zakat Fund, of around 70% has been Zakat.

UNHCR’s Refugee Zakat Fund is subject to rigorous governance and oversight, ensuring transparency at every step in the provision of assistance.
