Renowned nasheed singer Mostafa Atef shared an emotional message reminding his audience of the importance of kindness and generosity during the holy month. He spoke of the duty to help others in need and encouraged his community to be a source of safety, comfort, and solace for refugees by donating through the Refugee Zakat Fund.
Content creator and entrepreneur Nouran Tarek El Sayed also joined hands with UNHCR during Ramadan to raise awareness about the plight of refugees and the ways to support them. Nouran filmed a heartfelt message on the virtue of giving during the holy month, urging her audience to dedicate their Zakat to families most in need through the Refugee Zakat Fund. She also visited one of UNHCR’s face-to-face fundraising booths in Dubai, where she highlighted the many ways to give during Ramadan, inspiring empathy and generosity through her engagement.
In Egypt, racing driver Mohamed Hamdy visited UNHCR’s offices and shared messages with his followers on social media, reminding them that Ramadan is not only about fasting but also about charitable acts. He called on his audience to dedicate their Zakat during the holy month to refugee families through the Refugee Zakat Fund.
Technology influencers also played a key role in this year’s Ramadan campaign, helping their audiences discover new, trustworthy, and easy ways to give. Tech content creator Raghad Zamell shared an honest review of the Refugee Zakat Fund app, highlighting its features such as the Zakat calculator, donation process, and regular updates for donors.
