Partnerships in Focus

The Sheikh Eid Bin Muhammad Al Thani Charitable Foundation is a Qatari humanitarian independent non-profit organization that is concerned with the welfare of people in Qatar and abroad; and has been established in 1995.

During its three decades humanitarian journey, it has implemented major humanitarian and developmental projects that have benefited millions around the world, and in these projects the foundations’ mission was integrated with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals which aim to eradicate poverty and hunger, maintain health, improve the quality of education and equality, provide clean water, and work to preserve the environment by investing in clean energy, providing job opportunities, contributing to industries, establishing and developing infrastructure, eradicating racial discrimination and creating sustainably living societies, recycling, expanding green life, and spreading a culture of peace and tolerance.

Eid Charity has been a strategic partner to UNHCR since 2018 with total contributions exceeding USD 9 million for refugees and internally displaced persons across Bangladesh, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Somalia, and Yemen, reaching more than 339,000 beneficiaries.

In 2025, Eid Charity and UNHCR signed two agreements totaling QAR 9,521,745 (USD 2,612,780) to help over 31,000 forcibly displaced individuals in Syria and Yemen. With this funding UNHCR provided cash for shelter and multipurpose cash assistance to more than 8,000 forcibly displaced individuals in Yemen and will be providing multipurpose cash assistance, core relief items, cash grants for return and reintegration, and cash for shelter to more than 23,000 internally displaced and returning Syrians in Syria.

Through its partnership with UNHCR, Eid Charity works to support refugees in achieving a safe and dignified return to their areas of origin, and to facilitate reintegration and stability by providing shelter and essential assistance to meet their needs. These efforts align with Qatar National Vision 2030 and with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to ending poverty and hunger, promoting health and well-being, and ensuring access to clean and safe water for the most vulnerable, contributing to more resilient and sustainable communities.
