UNHCR is following a 100% Zakat distribution policy.
100% of Zakat contributions are distributed to the most vulnerable refugee and internally displaced families, including in hard-to-reach areas.

Exceptionally for Zakat funds, UNHCR has waived its standard 6.5% indirect support costs, in order to ensure that 100% of your Zakat goes directly to the most vulnerable families. Any expenses associated with the distribution of Zakat are covered by other sources of funding to UNHCR.

Do you know...

Your Zakat can help save the lives of vulnerable refugees and forcibly displaced families?

Imagine one day fleeing your home not out of choice but out of fear for your life and the lives of your family members. You have no time to pack your belongings. You have nothing in your possession, and you are in search of safety. This situation is the reality of millions of people forced to flee their homes because of conflict, violence, or persecution each day. Nigerian, Afghan, Rohingya, Yemeni, Iraqi, Syrian, Somali brothers, and sisters experience horrific hardship.

Your gift of Zakat can provide much-needed cash assistance, emergency relief items, and livelihood resources to thousands of these families forced to flee their homes because of no fault of their own.
